Representing the prohibition of labor: Doi Yuki
Place of birth: Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China
The distant hometown, the warm land of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, and the bustling street scenery still remain clear in my heart to this day. Twenty years have passed unconsciously since I left my hometown and came to a foreign land in Japan. In this land with different languages and cultures, I have established the foundation of life and deeply connected with Japanese society through my job in accounting.
Looking back on every day in Japan, it was full of surprises and discoveries. The polite, diligent, and meticulous manner in which Japanese people interact with others deeply moved me. On the other hand, their slow decision-making and overly cautious communication methods are also difficult for us Chinese to understand. Of course, I don't think which side is better or worse. Every culture has nurtured unique values throughout its long history, and I believe they should all be respected.
However, friction between different cultures is also an inevitable fact. If the stereotype of "Japanese are like this" and "Chinese are like that" is used to judge each other, misunderstanding and estrangement will easily occur, which may eventually hinder the huge potential between each other. I think it's important to think from the other person's perspective, acknowledge each other's differences, and maintain an attitude of mutual understanding and closeness.
The accounting business I founded in Japan was built on such cross-cultural understanding and trust. We use numbers as a common language to accurately grasp our clients' business activities and handle them according to Japan's complex tax system and laws. To achieve this, it is not only necessary to have a deep understanding of Japan's business habits and ways of thinking, but also to provide meticulous and thoughtful services based on each customer's specific situation and needs.
Fortunately, I collaborate with many excellent Japanese professionals every day, such as tax consultants, lawyers, judicial clerks, administrative clerks, and patent agents. With the support of their professional knowledge and high sense of responsibility, we comply with Japanese laws and regulations and make every effort to provide customers with trustworthy high-quality services. I believe that this kind of cooperation is an important factor for our business to continue and grow in a foreign land.
Through my accounting experience, I have come to deeply appreciate the importance of a sense of responsibility towards work, truthful honesty, close communication with clients, and most importantly, the importance of having a long-term perspective. Especially, Japan's tax system is frequently revised, and if we do not continuously absorb new knowledge, we will not be able to provide appropriate advice to our clients. Irresponsible work may cause significant losses to clients. That's why we always approach every customer with a serious attitude and strive to provide the best solutions.
